Does Kevin Parker even know what he is running for?

From Saturday's Spokesman-Review we learn that Kevin Parker is rethinking his stance on drilling

"I haven't made a decision on that," Parker said when asked if his promise to push for drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and along U.S. coasts included Washington's shorelines. His campaign flier, however, draws no distinction: "Kevin Parker will push for responsible domestic drilling in ANWR and the Outer Continental Shelf, decreasing our dependence on foreign oil," the flier reads, in part.

Offshore drilling? Seriously? He's running for the Washington State Legislature. If he is so concerned about offshore drilling, Mr. Parker is running for the wrong office. As Don Barlow points out in the article, offshore drilling and drilling in Alaska is a federal issue.

I have the feeling that if Parker wins the election, he is going to be really disappointed when he gets to Olympia.

And, is it just me, or is this guy starting to remind you of Sarah Palin?
